Italy Technical Specifications ProRes

All files uploaded to Cape Advanced TV are immediately run through an Auto QC process. To ensure files are not rejected please adhere to the guidelines below.

File Layout

No pre-roll or post-roll such as clock/slate, colour bars, black or audio test tones is required. The file must contain only the audio/video content of the commercial, at its exact duration (first frame to last frame).

Video Levels

Levels must be in accordance with ITU BT.709 for HD content, and EBU R103-2000 recommendations.

Luma = Level 16-235 (not RGB 0-255 level), equivalent to 0% - 100% or

0mV - 700mV. Chroma = Level 16-240, equivalent to maximum 100% RGB.

All content must be delivered interlaced, upper/first field dominant, and must be free throughout of video artefacts such as dropout, glitches, blocking, interlace issues or excessive aliasing, in order to meet broadcast quality standards.

Audio Levels

Loudness must comply with AGCOM 219/09/CSP of 05/01/2010 and subsequent amendments: Infinite/LongTerm/Centre of gravity -24 LKFS ±0.5 LU.

Audio must be free of distortion, glitches, dropout and excessive sibilance and must be in phase and in sync with the video.

Safe Area

Please ensure that all graphics, titles and on-screen text are free from grammatical and/or spelling errors and are within the relevant Safe Areas, in accordance with EBU R95-2017.

HD Safe Area 1920x1080 Interlaced.
