Digital Export Guide - Compressor – Cape Advanced TV Hilfe

Please refer to the relevant Cape Advanced TV Technical Specification for full details of the file requirements. This includes information regarding file layout, video and audio levels and frame rate.

This document is intended as a guide only for the export of content from Apple Compressor. Suppliers should perform their own encoding tests and quality control to verify final settings achieve the required specification and level of quality.

If any assistance is required please contact the Customer Success team who are available via Chat within Cape Advanced TV.

The encoding process and final quality of files remain the responsibility of the supplier. Cape Advanced TV cannot accept liability for incorrect or low-quality encoding.

Compressor Set Up

New Setting

Click	The + icon in the bottom left corner
Select	New Setting
Format	QuickTime Movie
Name	e.g. Cape Advanced TV Digital 16x9, Cape Advanced TV Digital 1x1, etc...
Click	OK

Then open the Inspector (top right corner button) and apply the below settings:

Inspector - General Tab

Default Location

Select a default location of your choosing

(you can create custom locations from the Locations tab in the left panel)

Retiming

100% - Default

You can also export a file to a given duration by using Set to and entering the relevant TimeCode

Inspector - Video Tab

	1080 x 1620 (2:3)
	1080 x 1440 (3:4)

Average Bitrate [kbps]	Custom -> Between 10000 and 70000

Inspector - Audio Tab

Channel Layout	Stereo (L R)
Sample Rate	48 kHz
Codec	MPEG-4 AAC
Quality	Maximum
Bit rate	320 kbps
Bit rate strategy	Constant Bit Rate

Export

Click	Add File...
Select	Source file on your computer
Export Setting	Select Newly Created Setting (in CUSTOM dropdown)
Location	Select File Location
Click	OK
Filename	Should Match Version ID
Click	Start Batch

Alternatively, you can drag and drop several files at the same time in the Current Batch View and then drag and drop the Newly Created Setting onto them to apply the export setting before clicking on Start Batch.

Please note

Some sequences may require a Video Limiter or Broadcast Safe filter to be applied before export to ensure Chrominance and Luminance levels are within specified limits.

Please ensure Audio levels are set correctly before beginning the export process.
